Description

Grows particularly around the out fall of domestic sewerage. Flowers are reddish purple with flattened calyx lobes.
Fruits are edible. It can remove high BOD. Fruit cooked as condiment for flavouring curries and is used for preparation of vinegar, digestion vermifuse and fermented fruit juice relieves haemorrhage.
